Need some help with FIFA 11!

This post is not Arsenal related.

I've been playing the Fifa series for many, many years now (might have been 5 or 6?) but started to play a lot more this year when me and my roommates bought an Xbox 360. We each have different style of playing but in general we are on the same level.

I thought I was pretty good, until I started playing online. My first experience was a 0-7 defeat to some Real Madrid kid. "I'm a n00b" - kept telling myself. Went to Yotube and Google to look for some sort of guides but found nothing substantial. Came across a couple of videos including this:

Now imagine how I felt after watching this. I wonder how one can achieve such a good level? Does anyone know any websites with good guides how to improve in Fifa? I'm not talking about skill moves, I'm talking about how to improve my defensive strategy, how to defend against strong strikers, fast wingers, crosses and long distance shooters? I find myself playing well against teams like Barcelona or Manchester United, but I can't deal with Chelsea's Drogba (the guy is made of steel, he never falls and always out muscles my defenders).

If you haven't figured it out yet - I'm using Arsenal.

Any suggestions are welcomed!

  4. I feel your pain. Honeslty, I got really good at Fifa by just playing a lot of it. Also, if defense is your problem, play a 5-x-x defense.

  11. I'm more a PES player, still once you go online you have to deal with kids that can't do anything else than score every 2 minutes or headshot you once you log in.

  12. Honestly, practice practice practice. Learn how to time certain things, and honestly there are some players you can't defend that well, time everything correctly. Add me on xbox

  14. Haha man I couldn't help you with a soccer video game if I tried. You'd be better off teaching me how to play that. Now Call of Duty is something I could teach you some things in :)

  15. Sorry, but I can't really help with this, since I play Fifa just casually with friends. But from my experience with competitive online gaming, I'd recommend playing lots of games.

  17. use lb and a when u pass to one two with the player and it makes it alot easier to break defences. Also hold lt when defending so it makes it more difficult to get passed your player
